Welcome to the DPA

The Dental Practitioners Association advises, supports and represents dentists in the UK. Membership is restricted to dentists in general practice (not academic, armed forces, clinical or community dentists). It is the largest such organisation representing over 2,500 dentists in the UK.

The GDP Journal

From the beginning, the Association always had a newsletter, which reflected the views of the members. In 1958 the newsletter was re-launched as a magazine and The GDP is now a journal of considerable influence. There are six issues each year, with a subscription-only circulation readership of over 5,000 dentists, plus a further 200 opinion-formers within the profession.

Advertising

The GDP continues to reflect the views of the Association but also carries book video reviews and 'Shop Window' which is popular with traders. This encompasses a colour picture and copy. The journal also carries the usual range of advertisements and is full-colour throughout. Contact the office for agency and series discounts (3,5 and 10 issues).

Writers

Are you a member of the dental profession, or a writer, or are you a cartoonist? Can you compile dental crosswords? Do you have a story or interesting angle on general practice? If so, you could write for The GDP! We welcome new authors with articles about general dental practice or related subjects. You will receive a warm welcome from the Editor.

Students!
