DPA Gold Plan
The flagship DPA Gold Plan provides all the treatment necessary to secure and maintain a healthy mouth. This includes regular examinations and preventive advice. It also includes, when necessary, x-rays, fillings (including white fillings), treatment for gum conditions, extractions and root fillings. Patients have access, without any charge, to all the services their dentist normally provides to look after their patients' dental health. Other treatments involving outside suppliers, such as crowns, dentures, bridges and mouth guards are provided at a reduced cost.
The benefits to the patient are that their dental costs are fixed and if anything should go wrong, with a few exceptions, it is their dentist who will fund any corrective work. Patients are encouraged to attend routinely at no cost, creating the conditions for a high level of oral health.
DPA 2+ Plans
The DPA 2+2 and 2+4 Dental Plans are designed to provide regular inspection and prevention, to encourage a high standard of dental health. In return for a monthly payment, each practice will provide FREE routine check-ups and hygiene visits each calendar year, PLUS routine x-rays when they are due, advice and access to emergency treatment AND a 10% discount on any treatment needed.
The full list of benefits is:
- Two detailed examinations per year.
- Two hygiene visits per year (on the 2+2 Plan).
- Four hygiene visits per year (on the 2+4 Plan).
- Routine x-rays (when needed).
- A 10% discount on any treatment needed.
- 24 hours emergency cover, both home and abroad.
- Accidental injury cover.
- Advice and help.
DPA Loyalty Plan
For an extremely low monthly payment, the Loyalty Plan provides benefits for registered patients, in addition to 24 hour emergency cover, both home and abroad, accidental injury cover and advice.
DPA CEO Derek Watson said "I am delighted to offer this significant additional member benefit. Personally I am a big fan of dental payment plans. They are the only system that delivers prevention because the patient and the dentist are both aligned in working towards improved oral health. Members can either start a dental payment plan, or convert an existing plan from any provider. Each practice retains the right to set its own fees for the level of service provided.
"The DPA will provide support and assistance with implementing the member's plan(s) of choice and any issues that arise. In turn, DPAS Limited will provide excellent back-office support. The fact that these four plans are endorsed by the DPA and are very competitively priced should give both patients and practitioners confidence in adopting one or more of them.”
DPAS Limited said "With the growing uncertainty as to the future of NHS dentistry funding, it is more important than ever that dentists make preparations for the most suitable method of funding private dentistry should this become a necessity. We therefore welcome this move by the DPA, and we very much look forward to working with them in the support of their members."
