Working with the DPA

Postby DPA.Support » Mon Nov 23, 2009 2:05 pm

The DPA is keen to build relationships with suppliers of goods and services (affiliate deals). Currently we have deals with HSBC, Dental Directory, MBNA and others. Here are a few suggestions based on existing deals...

  • Membership of the DPA List is FREE
...and there is a section for every business sector. You are welcome to offer your services on the site providing it is done in a professional manner. We encourage commercial firms to 'adopt' any branch of the List which is relevant to their area of expertise. Marketing your company by answering questions from members and writing timely and relevant articles on-line is the best way to convert casual browsers into fee-paying customers. Abuse of the List will result in a ban which will include deletion of all existing posts.

  • Direct Services to Members
If you are able to offer a special rate for DPA members, please let us know and we will pass this on. In this way the discount will be offset by shared marketing costs and the value of the DPA brand and recommendation attached to your product or service.

  • Indirect Services to Members
If you don't want to discount your goods or services, you many be able to offer indirect benefits to DPA members, for example practice audit or nett pricing, or sponsorship of a meeting.

  • Direct Subsidy to DPA
Companies who wish to work with the DPA and be associated with our brand in the long term sometimes choose to offer a direct subsidy to the Association, in effect supporting the people who are supporting their customers. This can be fixed-for example a promotional budget or variable-for example a percentage of turnover/spend.

  • Indirect Subsidy to DPA
If your FD balks at the idea of handing us cash, there may be services that we can exchange such as advertising / promotion in GDP magazine or the provision of services, for example free distribution or free use of your PR or creative departments.

If you have any other suggestions, just let us know! The administration behind these initiatives is deliberately kept simple with an initial meeting, quarterly reviews, agreed budgets and marketing objectives. Once we have established a working relationship and subject to a non-disclosure agreement, you can verify a dentist is a DPA member as necessary by ringing our office.

If you would like to discuss an affiliate deal, or have any comments or questions, please contact the DPA on the number below.
