DPA Community Web siteThe DPA Community Web site is a reference source for all UK dental professionals. Membership is FREE and open to anyone with an interest in primary dental care. The DPA Community exists to improve patient care and encourage a team approach to dental practice, through the exchange of information.
The DPA Community Web
- is FREE
- is OPEN to the entire profession. Other Boards are restricted to members of a particular Association or are for dentists only.
- is COMPREHENSIVE. It is not simply a forum for complaining about UDAs and criticising the Department of Health (although there are parts which can be used for that!)
- is UNIQUE until somebody tells us otherwise.
- is SUPPORTED and used by the Dental Professionals Association staff who contribute to it daily.
- is MODERATED (checked and corrected) by experts in the relevant area.
Free Clinical Governance Package
As one of its objectives, the DPA Community is building a library of standard documents that are required in primary care. You will find all of these documents in the relevant section on the Community Web site. For example you will find a Portable Appliance Testing Policy in Electrical. If you download a document we hope you will upload one in return. In that way we will build up a large library of documents free of charge. All the documents are compatible with the free OpenOffice productivity suite.
You can also help, by reporting broken links, posting updates and asking and answering questions. A small part of the board is restricted to DPA members but we guarantee that all content YOU post will remain in the public domain. There are lots of extra features, such as private messaging. And if you think of anything we have missed, please let us know!
